Porovnanie plnokrvných plemenných žrebcov pôsobiacich v ČR podľa výkonnosti potomstva
Tomková, Kristína
I chose the topic of comparison of thoroughbred breeding stallions operating in the Czech Republic according to the performance of the offspring mainly because I would like to point out the competition ability of Czech breeding stallions in Czech breeding despite a large number of imports from turf developed countries and thus even stronger fathers compared to those who managed to get for the Czech breeding, because I was myself curious about the overall balance of selected breeding stallions. First of all I dealt with the characteristics of the English Thoroughbred, where I began the very beginning of the breed, from the three founders through the first sports use to breeding and use today.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is mainly horse riding in Czech photography. The theoretical part focuses on the history of documentary photography and sports photography in the Czech Republic. It maps out the visual coverage of horse riding in the Czech Republic, introduces the most important figures and shows their work and successes. Through the interview with the Czech News Agency photo reporter Roman Vondrouš it describes the shape of current horse- riding photography, the state of sports photography in Czech agencies and examines current topics. The practical part includes a collection of documentary photographs that show the racetrack Chuchle Arena Praha. The pictures look into the equestrian world and are a visual evidence of its evolution. They capture not only the races themselves, but also the whole process of preparation of horse-riders. They were created during trainings away form actual races, race-day preparations and in the moments of win or loss. They show, what is hidden beneath the surface of the equestrian sport and picture the relationship between humans and horses. Moreover, the photos capture functioning of the racetrack in Velká Chuchle that exists for more than a century already and offers different types of horse-racing competitions. Analýza úspěšnosti koní českého chovu na rovinových a překážkových dostizích
Grézlová, Šárka
The thesis deals with the development of races, the history of races in the Czech Republic and the characteristics of the racing system. The practical part contains the development of racing system in the Czech Republic in 2003 and 2018, as well as the statistical evaluation of the factors influence (gender, age, suffix and a start year) for handicap and earnings. When evaluating the results of the 3-year-old horses in flat races has been statistically proven significantly and statistically lower performance of horses with different suffix in 2018. Those performances related to horses evinces the CZE (57.42 kg) with lower performances than GER (78.79 kg), and the earned profit differed significantly between horses CZE (23,286 CZK) and FR (83,099 CZK). Furthermore, it has been proven that the profit in 2003 had mares (CZK 41,395) significantly lower performance than stallions (CZK 155,579). When evaluating the results of the older horses on planes, has been statistically proven, that horses with different suffixes had statistically and significantly lower performance in 2003. There were horses CZE (54.77 kg) with a lower performance than GER (77.00 kg) and in 2018 statistically and significantly a lower horse performance of the CZE (59.96 kg) and FR (73.00 kg). When evaluating the results of the older horses in jump-races has been statistically proven that horses with different suffixes statistically and significantly lower profit in 2003 had horses CZE (25,487 CZK) than GER (345,587 CZK) and in 2018 has been found significantly lower performance of mares (65.82 kg) than geldings (73.84 kg).
Analýza dostihového provozu v České republice v posledních 20 letech
Šudáková, Barbora
The diploma thesis "Analysis of horse racing in the Czech Republic in the last 20 years," deals with the history, origin and the performance testing of the English Thoroughbred. It also describes the beginnings and evolution of the races, the division of the races, and, last but not least, the racing system in the Czech Republic. The experimental part of the thesis evaluates the development of horse racing in the Czech Republic and statistical evaluation of the influence of sex, color, country of origin and year of the start of the horses on their performance. The data used in the thesis come from the database of the Jockey Club of the Czech Republic. Horses chosen into the analysis are 3 years old animals running flat racing in the years 2000, 2008 and 2017. The data has been processed and statistically evaluated in the programme STATISTICA 2012. Racing performance was determined according to the so-called handicap (GH) and values of classification. A statistically conclusive influence on the performance of horses have sex, year of the start and the country of origin (the suffix). It was found that mares (54,86 kg) are statistically clearly worse than geldings (59,35 kg) and stallions (65,23 kg). In the year 2000 sex was statistically inconclusive, as opposed to the year 2008 and 2017, when stallions were statistically better than mares and geldings. When testing the color of the horses on their performance it was proofed that it has no effect. The only deviation showed up in the year when color came out statistically relevant. Tests done by the country of origin showed that the horses from the United States (52,79 kg) are statistically worse than horses from the UK or Ireland (67,19 kg) or other countries (68,27 kg). It was proofed that the quality of performance of the three-year old flat horses is getting better towards present.

Posouzení úrovně českého dostihového sportu
VALÍČKOVÁ, Denisa
Horse racing sport has developed in the global industry over the years and is now an integral part of social life. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to assess the current level of horse racing sport in the Czech republic. The work also summarizes the demands and the impact of racing sport on the horse and rider and also assesses the participation and success of women in the Czech turf. The track record included the success of horses from Czech owners abroad, the participation of Czech horses in races, the number of racing horses starting in the Czech republic, the number of riders, coaches, stables and racecourses, the level of financing of the Czech turf and some basic indicators of breeding English thoroughbred in Czech republic. The observed period was from 1993 to 2016. It was found that the number of race horses, coaches and stables has been gradually declining in recent years. 1128 horses took part in races in 2016. The number of coaches decreased by 27 %, the number of racing stables by 29 % and the number of riders by 72 %. In the Czech republic 60 - 70 racing days will be held annually and 12 racecourses will be in operation in 2015. With participation in foreign competitions the success of Czech horses was 10.20 % in 2016 and the total profit was more than 51.5 million Czech crowns. From 2000 to 2013, the number of fertilized thoroughbred mares decreased by 63 %. The number of excellent female riders is increasing, with more races than 1000.
Vliv treninku na změny parametrů vnitřního prostředí koní
Polesová, Tereza
Objective of this diploma thesis was to evaluate internal environment of racehorses according to physical load. Experiment was done on ten english thoroughbred horses. These horses were prepared in training for the plain racing. Blood collections for analysis were done at rest, 5 and 10 minutes after physical load. Analysis were done by metabolic profile test. Biochemical and hematologic measurements were studied on horses. All horses showed high values of selen, from 278,62 to 337,48 umol/l. Thanks to biochemical measurements, at creatine kinases, the biggest value that was find out was 8,13 ukat/l at rest, after 5 minutes of rest, it was in range of 3,72 - 8,23 ukat/l and after 30 minutes, in range between 3,01 - 12,88 ukat/l. At rest the lactate was established at biggest value 6,58 mmol/l, after 5 minutes of rest values on all tested horses increased to biggest measured value 8,98 mmol/l. Factor LDH has increased too, after 5 minutes of rest it has increased from the standing point to the biggest measured value at 9,97 ukat/l. Intensive training of race horses causes that the tracked measurements arent going back to the optimal values after the 30 minute rest. Majority of tracked measurements, especially biochemical, exceeds upper minimum of reference values. We conclude that it would be appropriate adjusting the reference values and standards for english thoroughbred in physical load.
